"Brotherly" Love

Throughout my pregnancy, one of the main questions I got from people who know us was about Dutch.  "How do you think Dutch will handle it?" Zeb and I were optimistic about the transition, and we were right!  Dutch has been great!  He loves his little brother, and he is already very protective!  He is always aware of where James is, even when he is on the floor.  He gets very excited when we have visitors, but once he figures out who has the baby, he is very calm around them.  Here are a few of the many pictures I have of them together already.

My boys:)  I have several pictures like this, but I don't think Zeb would be happy if I posted some of them.

Keeping an eye on him.

Dutch can barely contain his excitement when Daddy gets home!

He already wants James to play with him.

Visitors

James has been blessed to have so many visitors! It has been great to see so many of our loved ones.  Here are some snapshots of his visitors.

We have had many more visitors, but these are just a few that I have pictures of with James.

So many pictures...

I was really hoping to be able to keep this blog update regularly, especially since I have been at home.  Well, I return to work in less than a week, and I have very few posts.  So, today I am going to try to post some more, and I'm going to try to get better at doing this on a regular basis!

First day home from the hospital.  Dutch was happy to have us home.

Checking out his new bed.

He LOVES to be on his playmat!

James had to have a biliblanket for his jaundice.
Here Dutch is keeping him company while he is on his machine.

Snapshots from hospital

As I look through photos and try to decide which ones to post, I am having a very hard time deciding.  I would post them all but over 200 photos seems a bit excessive.  Therefore, I am going to just try to choose a few to highlight James' first few weeks.

Our first photo as a family:)

Briana, Doug, and Aiden came to visit us in the hospital.  Aiden was curious about James, but he didn't want Mommy to hold James without holding him too:)

My family came back down to visit:)

James with the bear and onesie the basketball girls gave him:)

 Going home!

He already loves the carseat, which is great for Mommy and Daddy!
