This past Sunday we had James' Dedication at our church, Cornerstone Community Church in Chariton. Here are a few pictures from that day.

Graduation Season
Graduation season is in full swing around here!
Well, just as I was writing this post during my 6th period class, my seniors walked into my room. First, Amy came in to ask me to read her speech for graduation. As I read it, I began to cry. This class is my first class. They were freshman when I started here at SEW. They gave me PLENTY of headaches that first year, but also LOTS of wonderful memories. Amy is extra special to my family:) She and I connected right away, and when she joined the speech team, we created a bond that has only gotten stronger over the past four years. Over the past few weeks, I have shed lots of tears thinking about her graduating. I am extremely happy for her, but I will definitely miss her.
After Amy left, three other seniors walked into my room. My tears weren't even dry yet and I started crying again. This class has such a special place in my heart. And as sad as I am to see them go, I am so excited to see what their futures hold. I know that they all have bright futures ahead of them. I think that is what makes me cry. A little bit of sadness, but lots and lots of joy and hope. Saturday's ceremony will be a celebration of what they have accomplished and a great send off to their future!
Here is a picture of us at Amy's open house. James is already pretty attached to her too:)
This is a pillow case the basketball team gave Amy for her senior gift:)
It was baby boy central at her party!
Allen graduated with his masters this weekend. James and I made the trip to Cedar Falls to celebrate with him. He is leaving for Wisconsin in August so we are getting in as much Uncle Allen time as we can:)
Go Dutch!
A few weekends ago, Zeb and I took James over to Pella so he could enjoy his first softball game. The weather was a little windy, but James did great! Here are a few shots from our day.
Smiles!
Its official! James is growing up WAY TOO FAST! He has been smiling for over a month now, and he gets stronger and stronger every day. In the past few days, he has started to make a lot more noises too. When we talk to him, he "talks" back. It is probably one of the coolest things I've ever experienced! I absolutely love being his momma and watching him grow and develop everyday.

This is the first smile we were able to catch on camera. Here is is smiling while Grandma Debbie is talking to him.

Already loving his Bumbo:)
I couldn't have asked for a better first Mother's day! James got me a massage so I will get to pamper myself when school is over:) My parents got me a new charm for my bracelet and Zeb's parents got me a necklace with James' name and birthstone on it.
