Well, just as I was writing this post during my 6th period class, my seniors walked into my room. First, Amy came in to ask me to read her speech for graduation. As I read it, I began to cry. This class is my first class. They were freshman when I started here at SEW. They gave me PLENTY of headaches that first year, but also LOTS of wonderful memories. Amy is extra special to my family:) She and I connected right away, and when she joined the speech team, we created a bond that has only gotten stronger over the past four years. Over the past few weeks, I have shed lots of tears thinking about her graduating. I am extremely happy for her, but I will definitely miss her.
After Amy left, three other seniors walked into my room. My tears weren't even dry yet and I started crying again. This class has such a special place in my heart. And as sad as I am to see them go, I am so excited to see what their futures hold. I know that they all have bright futures ahead of them. I think that is what makes me cry. A little bit of sadness, but lots and lots of joy and hope. Saturday's ceremony will be a celebration of what they have accomplished and a great send off to their future!
Here is a picture of us at Amy's open house. James is already pretty attached to her too:)
This is a pillow case the basketball team gave Amy for her senior gift:)
It was baby boy central at her party!
Allen graduated with his masters this weekend. James and I made the trip to Cedar Falls to celebrate with him. He is leaving for Wisconsin in August so we are getting in as much Uncle Allen time as we can:)
